Salary Range:
$209,000 – $271,000
Role Overview:
As a full-time Engineering Manager on the Customer Support and Services team, you’ll report to the Director of Engineering. This role offers competitive compensation, including salary, an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and benefits to support both you and your family.
This role is open to candidates based in the United States, with priority given to those located near our Brooklyn or San Francisco offices. For those within commuting distance, in-office attendance is required once or twice a week. The Team:
The Etsy Service team, part of our Customer Support and Services group, strives to create a delightful customer experience. We focus on helping our buyers and sellers love Etsy, offering top-notch support when things go right—and fixing them when they go wrong. The team builds and maintains tools for providing a best-in-class support experience to our growing customer base.
This cross-functional team includes engineers, product managers, researchers, data analysts, and operations professionals. We work collaboratively across different locations (US, Ireland, Mexico) and technologies, primarily PHP and MySQL.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of full-stack engineers to ensure high-quality results.
- Partner with the recruiting team to attract top talent and manage the full hiring process.
- Support the onboarding and growth of new engineers, ensuring they thrive at Etsy.
- Advocate for your team and drive a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals and deliver value for both internal and external users.
- Oversee the team’s software delivery process and work closely with Product, Design, Research, Analytics, and Marketing to meet company objectives.
- Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and professional development.

- Strong technical expertise, with the ability to make decisions balancing immediate and long-term goals.
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers, fostering growth and providing opportunities for team development.
