Role Overview:

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You will collaborate with the project manager to conduct research, develop designs, perform calculations, and deliver high-quality solutions. This position involves applying engineering techniques and design criteria for intricate, cross-disciplinary projects. You will leverage your technical expertise to resolve design issues, working closely with the project manager and clients to ensure timely project completion. Additionally, you may mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to the overall success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide senior-level technical expertise across a range of engineering solutions.

Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets for complex or unique engineering projects.

Assist with marketing tasks, including proposal preparation and client engagement.

Develop project scopes, manage budgets, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of work from the project team.

Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Coordinate technical aspects of the project with clients and external partners, particularly on complex or multidisciplinary projects.

Lead discipline delivery on larger projects, collaborating with other teams for seamless project execution.

Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and work distribution for multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience

OR Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience

OR PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Engineering

10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering

Experience in Transportation Infrastructure projects

Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software

Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification, depending on discipline

Skills and Experience:

Demonstrates in-depth technical expertise and consistently delivers high-quality work across multi-disciplinary projects.

Effectively prioritizes tasks, ensuring on-time delivery of projects within scope and budget.

Possesses a forward-thinking mindset, anticipating risks and understanding the broader impacts of decisions.

Collaborates with multiple disciplines to achieve cohesive project goals and outcomes.

Innovates and applies experience to improve project efficiencies.

Utilizes advanced technical skills to identify problems and develop effective solutions.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position in Rocky Hill, CT is approximately $115,572.49 – $180,767.24. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, and job location.
