About the Company

Our client, a well-established leader in the UAE’s structural steel industry, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join their dynamic team. Known for delivering customised, high-quality steel solutions, the company specialises in steel design, fabrication, and installation for both building and industrial construction projects.

Role Overview

As a Production Engineer, you will be at the heart of production operations — planning, coordinating, and optimising workflows to ensure smooth project execution. You’ll collaborate with design, procurement, and shop floor teams to keep fabrication on schedule and aligned with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawing packages and material requisitions.
• Maintain and organise the production planning database.
• Develop monthly fabrication shop schedules aligned with project timelines.
• Distribute fabrication drawings across bays in line with the production plan.
• Track and monitor progress; identify and correct deviations.
• Process change orders for revisions in drawings or fabrication scope.
• Coordinate with internal teams on drawing clarifications, material supply, and on-site requirements.
• Estimate raw material needs and ensure timely procurement.
• Prepare nesting plans and requisitions for CNC operations and inventory control.
• Keep accurate records of material usage to minimise waste.
• Uphold safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
• Plan and manage daily production schedules.
• Generate regular reports for senior management.
• Resolve technical queries and ensure adherence to project specifications.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in steel fabrication.
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and MS Project.
