Role Overview:

We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Global Merchant & Network Services Technology (GMST) team. You’ll be instrumental in developing cloud-based distributed systems that power our card transaction infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement core transaction processing features
• Build and maintain scalable microservices
• Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit tests
• Collaborate within agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to API development and automation initiatives

Technical Requirements:

• 2+ years professional software development experience
• Strong Java programming skills

Experience with modern frameworks and tools:

• Spring Boot
• RESTful microservices
• Distributed systems
• Message queuing (Kafka)
• Databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
• Cloud platforms
• Knowledge of in-memory computing platforms (Apache Ignite experience valuable)
• Understanding of software design patterns and best practices

Compensation:

• Base salary: $78,000 – $124,750 annually
