Position Overview
We are seeking dynamic Software Engineers who champion Agile-eXtreme Programming methodologies to create cutting-edge software solutions for Ford Motor Company and our commercial clientele.

Core Responsibilities
Software Development & Architecture
- Create robust, reusable code foundations for dynamic user interfaces across multiple platforms
- Advance testing frameworks and automation processes while promoting exceptional software craftsmanship
- Deliver exceptional experiences for customers and engineering partners
Performance & Collaboration
- Continuously monitor and assess solution performance metrics
- Work within cross-functional teams developing commercial and fleet software applications
- Participate actively in Test-first Development and Test Driven Development practices
- Implement cloud-based solutions using advanced technologies integrated with Ford’s enterprise infrastructure
Essential Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Minimum 7 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages including:
- Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Kotlin, Python, C#
Technical Expertise
- 5+ years working with modern database systems (both relational and non-relational)
- 5+ years developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
- Proficiency in web-based UI development using React.js, JavaScript, Angular, and/or TypeScript
- Experience with debugging using industry-standard tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform)
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Technical Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles
- Experience with eXtreme Programming practices including Pair/Mob programming and TDD
- Expertise in Spring/SpringBoot and RESTful Web services development
- Background in machine learning, mathematical modeling, and data analysis
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database systems
Development Tools & Frameworks
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira, backlogs, iterations, user stories)
- Strong collaboration skills with technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business stakeholders
- Previous React.js development experience
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end technologies
- Familiarity with React ecosystem tools (Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, Flux)
- User interface design experience
- Performance testing framework knowledge (Mocha, Jest)
- Understanding of fundamental data modeling principles

Compensation & Employment Details
Position Level: Salary grades 7-8
Visa Sponsorship: Available for qualified candidates
Work Arrangement: Remote position (Southeast Michigan residents within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI may be required on-site 1-2 days weekly)
