Software Engineer – IXL Learning
Full-time | Raleigh, NC (Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

About the Role
IXL Learning, a global leader in personalized education technology, is looking for talented and motivated iOS Engineers to help shape the future of our mobile experience. As part of our small, collaborative Mobile team, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing the features of our iOS applications—used by millions of learners worldwide.

In this role, you will manage the complete technical life cycle of feature development: from concept and coding to testing, bug fixes, and ongoing improvements. We take pride in creating products that have a meaningful impact on learners and educators, and we’re excited for you to join us in that mission.

What You’ll Do

• Research, design, and implement features that follow established iOS design patterns
• Collaborate with colleagues across product, content, and web teams
• Develop with Swift and iOS frameworks (SwiftUI experience a plus)
• Build new features, maintain and improve existing ones, and resolve technical issues
• Optimize performance by managing system resources (memory, CPU, network) efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• Strong knowledge of iOS app development
• Proficiency in Swift; experience with SwiftUI is desirable
• Familiarity with back-end development concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-team environment
• Passion for advancing education through technology
