About the Role

This leadership position oversees a variety of dining operations including restaurants, lounges, and in-room dining. The Manager will guide daily food and beverage functions, support menu creation, uphold sanitation standards, and provide hands-on support during peak dining hours. The focus is not only on delivering seamless guest experiences but also on cultivating team excellence and driving departmental performance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
Applicants may qualify through either pathway:

• Option 1: High school diploma (or GED) with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary arts, or related fields.
• Option 2: Associate degree (2-year) in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a comparable major plus 2 years of professional experience in food and beverage or culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Direct daily restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining functions.
• Step into frontline roles when needed to ensure continuity.
• Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation protocols as outlined by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s Food Code.
• Evaluate staffing levels to balance guest satisfaction and financial efficiency.

Team Management

• Lead with integrity, fostering a climate of respect, trust, and teamwork.
• Actively mentor staff, identifying growth areas and developing training plans.
• Set clear goals, monitor progress, and ensure departmental standards are consistently met.
• Ensure all team members are educated on compliance with local, state, and Federal liquor regulations.

Guest Experience Enhancement

• Champion outstanding service to create memorable dining experiences.
• Collect and respond to guest feedback, resolving concerns promptly with professionalism.
• Engage guests personally, whether during meals or upon departure, to ensure satisfaction.
• Empower associates to anticipate guest needs and deliver five-star service.

Human Resource Engagement

• Set clear performance expectations for team members and evaluate regularly.
• Implement ongoing hospitality training programs.
• Promote employee engagement by using open communication channels and recognizing achievements.
• Support employee well-being, fairness, and growth opportunities to enhance retention.

Administrative & Financial Oversight

• Manage purchasing, invoicing, and financial reporting at the departmental level.
• Provide operational reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
• Step in for the Assistant Restaurant Manager when needed to maintain operational excellence.
