About the Role

As a Cost Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a vital role in delivering customer value through competitive, transparent, and sustainable solutions. Using state-of-the-art Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) methods, you will help drive efficiency, strengthen competitiveness, and ensure profitability across the full value chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) into business processes and promote cost-awareness across teams.
• Generate cost and value transparency for products and solutions, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply CVE methodology to enhance profitability and competitiveness.
• Support target cost setting by aligning with customer needs, analyzing competitors, and assessing capabilities.
• Build and strengthen the CVE knowledge-sharing network and collaborate with suppliers to ensure transparency.

What We’re Looking For

• Education & Experience: Minimum 5+ years in engineering roles, preferably with a Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Global Experience: International professional background with strong cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities to identify cost drivers and build strong internal/external relationships.

Technical Expertise:

• Should-costing and value optimization methods.
• Heavy industrial manufacturing knowledge, ideally in turbine blade/vane production (investment casting, machining, coating).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to suppliers and production sites.
• Language: Fluency in English.
