Job Description.
Due to major contract awards in our ANZ Water business, we are expanding our Water Team in Australia. These awards provide a solid 10-year pipeline of work, and AECOM’s flexibility allows you to work from any of our offices in Newcastle, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Perth, or Melbourne.

By joining our team, you will receive mentorship and assistance from industry leaders in geotechnical, structural, and dam design. You will also have the option to work and collaborate with offices in other states and countries.
We presently have the following open positions in our team:
- Technical Director: Dam Engineer
- Associate Director: Dam Engineer
- Senior Dam Engineer
- Principal, Dam Engineer
A typical day on the dams team would look like this:
- Water dams, retarding basins, and service basins are designed from concept to detail.
- Inspection, inquiry, and condition evaluation of existing dams, including the review and surveillance of monitoring data
- Safety reviews are conducted with diverse teams to address all issues.
- Client liaison and administration of several projects ranging from small to large
- Supervision and Contract Administration.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are extremely desirable, but even if you don’t meet all of the requirements, you could be an excellent fit for this position. Please apply; every application will be examined.
What are we searching for from you?
- Experience with dam engineering and design.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, including RPEQ/CPEng (highly appreciated).
- shown proficiency in design, including the development of design reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent report-writing and vocal communication skills.
- You are optimistic and view problems as chances to innovate, contribute, and grow.
