As a member of our Manufacturing team, you will help us make the smart cars that people all over the world expect us to make. We are always coming up with new tools and ways of doing things in our plants around the world to make them even more efficient. Needed Minimum Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering)
- The ability to work well with other people
- Support for start programs while travelling
- Strong project management skills and a focus on getting things done
- A lot of tech skills, like Excel, Power Point, and more
- 3D CAD study skills (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or something similar)
- Understanding of PFMEA and how to avoid failure modes
- Excellent speaking, writing, and public speaking skills
- Being able to work under pressure and within a tight schedule
- Being able to work with little direct supervision
- Must be able to travel, including long trips to US, Canadian, or Mexican assembly and component companies
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Basic understanding of statistics, such as how to use control charts, collect data, do GD&T, and so on.
- Ford software tools like AVBOM, WERS, GSPAS/APT, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIM, and CPARS must be known.
- Experience as an automotive manufacturing engineer is desirable but not required
- It’s recommended but not required that you have experience with automotive assembly or machining tools, processes, and facilities.
- Knowledge of industrial machining devices that do a lot of work

Provide the necessary operating system needs for a powertrain subsystem during the manufacturing delivery process.
Work with the Product Development team to find ways to cut down on building and tooling costs, raise quality, and lower the number of workers needed.
Virtual tools can help you figure out if new model ideas will work for large-scale production.
Write, edit, and keep up with process sheets and give revised cycle line layouts.
Finding leads, solving problems, and ending the case Machining issues of viability
Make a master plan for designing, building, and putting tools in your subsystem into use, and stick to it.
Lead installation, start-up, and testing of machining at the factory. Also, help with tooling buyoffs at partner facilities
Find the lead, solve all launch product and tooling problems, and close the case.
Write down the “lessons learnt” from the launches of the new models and use the “prevent reoccurrence actions” in future projects.
Help the department with its efforts for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, morale, the environment, and new ideas (SQDCPMEI).
Work with tasks from different departments (New Model Programs, Supplier Technical Assistance, Product Development, and Material Planning and Logistics).
