Prime Intellect  Building Open Superintelligence

Prime Intellect is developing an open ecosystem for superintelligence uniting powerful agentic models with the global infrastructure needed to train, adapt, and deploy them at scale. Our platform brings together worldwide compute resources under one control plane and pairs them with a complete reinforcement learning post-training stack including secure environments verifiable evaluations, and high-throughput async RL training. Researchers, startups, and enterprise teams rely on us to build and refine frontier-level agents capable of operating in real tools real workflows and real deployment environments.

About the Role

We are searching for an engineer who can work across two worlds:

1. Rapid iterative development of next generation AI agents, and

2. Deep infrastructure work that enables these agents to run reliably at scale.

If you enjoy building fast experimenting often, and shaping the foundational systems behind intelligent agents, this role will give you both autonomy and impact.

What You’ll Work On

1. AI Agent Development

• Build, prototype, and refine advanced agents designed for automation, workload orchestration, and real-time decision-making.
• Extend and integrate agent frameworks to support new features, performance needs, and evolving product goals.
• Experiment with novel capabilities—including memory systems, multi-agent cooperation, and new coordination models—to guide architectural decisions.

2. Agent Infrastructure & Systems Design

• Architect distributed systems capable of running AI agents at frontier scale.
• Implement strong communication and networking protocols to allow agents to coordinate and share data.
• Maintain system observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage and automate compute environments with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.

3. Developer Relations & Community Engagement

• Produce clear documentation, guides, and demos to help users adopt and understand our open-source stack.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, and research teams to align features with real-world needs.
• Contribute to the open-source community by reviewing PRs, supporting contributors, and improving project workflows.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

Core Technical Background

• Strong Python experience (FastAPI, async workflows).
• Knowledge of PyTorch and modern model-development practices.
• Ability to build internal dashboards or agent-monitoring tools in TypeScript/React/Next.js.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time UI systems.
• Solid API design principles.

Infrastructure Expertise

• Proficiency in Rust for high-performance components.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Experience working with scalable cloud environments.

Bonus Strengths

• Exposure to GPU and ML infrastructure optimization.
• Understanding of AI model architectures or training pipelines.
• Background in high-performance networking.
• Active involvement in open-source projects.
