This environment is built on trust, teamwork, and a commitment to developing talent.

About the Enterprise Data & AI Organization

The Enterprise Data & AI (EDAI) group brings together experts from data governance, strategy, engineering, AI development, and product innovation. The mission is clear: use data and AI to transform customer experiences, streamline operations, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. The team also leads research, experimentation, and cutting-edge development to ensure breakthrough ideas translate into real business value—supported closely by Amex Digital Labs.

About the GenAI Enablement Team

This team guides AI initiatives from the very first concept to implementation. They work closely with partners across the company—advising on responsible AI practices, reviewing use cases, and ensuring every solution aligns with enterprise governance and safety standards. Their work ensures AI is adopted thoughtfully, compliantly, and strategically across the organization.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys shaping early-stage ideas. You’ll explore emerging technologies, prototype new concepts, and collaborate across teams to bring AI-driven products from initial thought to pilot deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of Amex’s competitive landscape and long-term strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate new AI-driven product ideas with strong business and technical potential.
  • Lead hands-on assessments, research, customer interviews, and prototype development in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Create alignment across teams by clearly communicating product concepts and their potential impact.
  • Guide product ideas from early exploration to pilot execution—and support the transition toward broader deployment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–8+ years of product management or product design experience.
  • Strong understanding of the AI technology stack and full product lifecycle.
  • Ability to succeed in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
  • Proven experience building partnerships around emerging technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with technical and executive teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience taking AI products from 0-to-1.
  • Startup background combined with familiarity with global enterprise operations.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $123,000.00 – $215,250.00 annually
  • Includes bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits
Final pay will reflect experience, location, and role-related factors.
