Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Rotor Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this position, you will help design, develop, and refine large electric generators used in fossil and nuclear power facilities. Your work will influence the next generation of clean energy solutions and improve performance, efficiency, and reliability across our product lines.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on design experience, and the ability to solve complex mechanical challenges using analytical and creative approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize large-scale electric generators and mechanical systems.
- Conduct detailed analysis using software such as ANSYS, applying advanced engineering methods to validate designs.
- Prepare 3D models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials for production and maintenance teams.
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply management teams to ensure cost-effective and reliable designs.
- Provide technical support during production, troubleshooting, and maintenance phases.
- Participate in design reviews, issue resolution, and product improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions effectively to internal and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design or maintenance of rotating machinery, ideally within the power generation industry.
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAE fundamentals, GD&T, and finite element analysis.
- Experience with NX, Teamcenter, or SAP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work in collaborative environments.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the United States (up to 10%).
