Project Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure (Visa Sponsorship Available)
Location: Atlanta, GA

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a background in transportation engineering to join our Atlanta office.
This role focuses on the design, planning, and delivery of transportation projects, particularly those under the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The successful candidate will have proven experience in developing detailed design plans, supervising junior staff, and working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver design projects from concept to completion while ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, reports, and technical specifications following GDOT requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and team members to resolve design challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
- Support proposal preparation and assist with defining the scope of work and resource needs.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers to enhance team capability and quality.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Utilize OpenRoads Designer for roadway design, modeling, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least six years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering with five years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering with four years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of transportation design standards and experience working on GDOT projects.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four years of GDOT project experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Active participation in professional associations such as ASHE, ASCE, or ITE.
