Head Chef – Bistronomic Restaurant, Belgium
Opportunity to work alongside a Michelin-starred Chef

We are seeking a creative and motivated Head Chef to lead the kitchen of an elegant bistronomic restaurant in Belgium. This establishment combines refined cuisine and fresh, high-quality ingredients in a welcoming, modern setting.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance culinary creativity with team management, ensuring memorable meals for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Supervise a small team of three (second cook and a station chef).

Menu and Culinary Development

  • Design and prepare inventive bistronomic dishes that reflect the restaurant’s identity.
  • Work closely with the Michelin-starred Chef to develop menus and introduce new ideas.

Operations & Cost Control

  • Manag supplies and inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal waste.

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • Enforce strict hygiene procedures and comply with all food safety regulations.

Team Growth

  • Train, mentor, and encourage the team, fostering both technical skills and creativity.

Profile Sought

  • Experience: At least 3 years as a Head Chef, ideally in bistronomy or fine dining.
  • Skills: Strong culinary techniques, refined plating, and attention to presentation.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a small, dynamic team.
  • Personal qualities: Organized, calm under pressure, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Mindset: Creative flair and passion for modern gastronomy.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiar with local produce and current culinary trends.

Conditions

  • Contract: Permanent, immediate start.
  • Schedule: Lunch and dinner service (40–50 covers each).
  • Team: 3 people in the kitchen.
  • Days Off: Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday.
  • Salary: From €3,000 net, based on experience.
  • Perks: Accommodation provided during trial period.
  • Holidays: According to company policy.
