The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chef de Cuisine to lead our signature restaurant. This role requires a leader with strong culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to deliver excellence in a luxury dining environment. You will drive innovation, oversee kitchen operations, support marketing and PR efforts, and ensure that every guest experience reflects the Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

This position includes relocation assistance, bonus eligibility, and work visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED with 4 years’ experience in culinary, food & beverage, or a related professional area,
OR

A 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field, plus 2 years’ professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Culinary Leadership

  • Lead and supervise all kitchen operations at COA.
  • Design, develop, and innovate seasonal and daily menu items.
  • Recognize and ensure superior quality in ingredients, presentation, and flavors.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, handling, and storage standards.
  • Estimate production needs and oversee plating requirements.
  • Prepare and cook food for regular service, special guests, and private functions.

Guest Experience & Service

  • Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized dining experiences.
  • Handle guest concerns promptly with professionalism.
  • Empower and inspire staff to deliver Ritz-Carlton Gold Standard service.

Marketing & Brand Presence

  • Partner with the Restaurant Manager and Marketing teams to promote COA.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns, public relations efforts, and culinary events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for culinary-related community engagements.

Financial & Business Goals

  • Drive profitability through entrepreneurial management of P&L.
  • Monitor culinary market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Actively support sales initiatives to increase revenue.
  • Establish and manage performance and budgetary goals.

Talent & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor culinary team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Support employee cross-training and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures when needed.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet business demands while managing labor costs effectively.
