Company Overview:
Skills Provision is recruiting on behalf of a respected automotive repair and maintenance company based in Essex. The employer specializes in servicing high-end vehicle brands including Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
45 hours per week (including breaks)
1-hour lunch break
15-minute morning and afternoon breaks
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle faults
Perform scheduled maintenance and repair work
Maintain accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and services performed
Conduct functional tests on vehicle systems and components
Perform routine vehicle care (e.g. oil changes, tyre replacement)
Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain professional standards
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a vehicle mechanic
Formal automotive qualifications preferred (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Dealership experience highly desirable
Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
Proficient in engine rebuilding, head gasket replacements, and timing chain servicing
Electrical systems knowledge is an advantage
Previous experience working with premium brands (Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche)
Hold a valid UK driving license or International Driving Permit (conversion assistance provided)
Positive, proactive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
