Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles to designated locations. You will interact directly with customers, providing outstanding service and ensuring their satisfaction. Your ability to perform basic mechanical tasks, maintain accurate records, and adhere to safety regulations will be essential. Key Responsibilities:

Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles from various locations to specified destinations.

Properly secure vehicles to the tow truck to prevent damage during transport.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting vehicle owners and ensuring their satisfaction.

Maintain accurate records of each tow, including vehicle condition and final destination.

Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as jump-starting vehicles and changing tires when necessary.

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck.

Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.

Perform preventive maintenance on the tow truck.

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Address customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.

Coach colleagues on new methods or techniques to improve workflow.

Communicate with central dispatch and relay relevant information.

Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including dangerous goods, through proper handling and tarping.

Requirements:

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Valid Ontario Tow License and AZ/DZ license.

Previous experience in towing or related commercial driving fields.

Strong customer service skills and mechanical knowledge.

Ability to work independently, including nights and weekends.

Clean driver’s abstract and criminal record.

Ability to ensure the safety and security of cargo, including the handling of dangerous goods.

Proficiency in conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.

Benefits:

Competitive pay of $25 per hour.
